To save his unborn babies, he must put his trust in strangers.

Blurb

Jax has made mistakes in his life, the biggest of which was falling for Lyndon. His love died when Lyndon refused to claim him as his mate after Jax discovered he was pregnant. His feelings turned to hate when his babies were stolen from his care the day they were born.

Reliant on Lyndon for the cream he needs to survive, Jax does everything he can to keep him happy and he lives for the day when he will be reunited with his children.

When Jax discovers he is pregnant for a second time, he is terrified his second litter will be taken from him, too.

Ty is a dual-gendered feline who dreams of carrying his own babies one day. If they are fathered by Cal, the sexy feline he feeds from, it would be even better. Ty’s parents have other ideas. They don’t wish the public to know that their high-born son is dual-gendered, and arrange for a mating festival to take place so Ty can choose a dual-gendered mate of his own.

Although Ty has no intention of submitting to his parents’ wishes, something about Jax draws Ty to him and when he and Cal discover Jax’s secret, they know they must help.

Ty and Cal offer Jax a way to escape Lyndon’s clutches, but Jax knows almost nothing about the two felines who have offered to claim him.

The stakes have never been higher and Jax must learn to trust again, or risk losing everything.

Ty helped Jax into the boat, and once they were seated, Cal joined them and rowed them out to the middle of the lake.

"Privacy at last," Cal said as he pulled in the oars. "Though you could have picked somewhere away from the water."

Ty snorted. "And have Lyndon lingering around?"

"Perhaps not."

Jax frowned. "Are you saying you deliberately ditched Lyndon?"

"We are," Cal confirmed. "We wanted to talk to you privately."

"You did?"

"Yes," Ty said.

"What about? It's my uncle you'd need to speak to if you wanted to claim me as your mate."

Ty gave another snort, this one even louder than the first. "Don't youget a say in the matter?"

Jax trailed his fingers in the water. "Not really."

"Why not? It's your life?" Cal said.

Jax sighed, but didn't say anything. It hadn't been hislife for a long time, but how could these two felines possibly understand that?

Ty took hold of Jax's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Jax, we know you're in some kind of trouble, but we can't help you if we don't know what the problem is?"

Jax finally looked at Ty and saw nothing but compassion in his amber eyes. "You should choose another mate, not me," he whispered.

Cal slowly inched over from his seat and sat at Jax's feet. "Ty will choose whoever he wants. Take it from someone who knows. Now, why don't you tell us what the issue is with Lyndon?"

"There is no issue."

"I disagree," Cal argued. "I saw him fucking you in the garden earlier. Does your uncle know you're not a virgin?"

The world swayed around him and Jax thought he might throw up. Then a strong arm wrapped around his shoulders, and he leaned into Ty, the strong steady heartbeat of the feline next to him helping to keep him calm.

"Yes, my uncle knows," he whispered. "But he doesn't know Lyndon is the one who has fucked me."

"He doesn't?" Cal asked.

Jax shook his head and toyed with the hem of his kilt. He shivered, even though he had put on his warmer cloak before they’d begun their walk. His uncle did know about Lyndon. He just refused to believe it.

"Tell us what happened," Ty encouraged. "We want to help you."

"Why?" Jax asked. "You don't know me. I'm just a stranger who's been paraded in front of you because I happen to have both female and male genitals."

Cal took his hand and gave it a quick squeeze. "Because what I saw in your face when Lyndon walked away this afternoon was not the face of a feline in love with his devoted servant."

Jax gave a bitter laugh that he quickly tried to suppress. "I haven't been in love with Lyndon for a long time, if I ever was."

"Your uncle seems to think a lot of him," Ty commented.

"That's because he doesn't know the real Lyndon," Jax replied. "If he knew what he was really like… oh, who am I fooling? He'll never believe a bad word about him."

"Why not?" Cal asked.

"Because Lyndon is my uncle's primary food source, too," Jax said.

"That's no reason to believe him over his own nephew."

Jax shrugged. "He won't hear a thing said against him. Believe me, I learned that lesson the hard way."

"Talk to us," Ty urged.

Jax could tell he wasn't going to get off this boat until he told them what they wanted to know. Perhaps he could give them an edited version they would accept.

Lost beneath the ocean, Atlantis has become a myth. When it rises from the deep everything will change for Kyle, Finn and the merpeople.

Jake Seabrook, a human descendant of Medina, the Atlantean Goddess of Love, never asked for magical powers. Unfortunately, not only does he have them, but they are also growing stronger as more of the Atlantean gods wake from their long slumber.

When Jake develops the power to hear the thoughts of anyone thinking about love, lust or sex, it is strange and embarrassing, but also reveals cracks in his relationship with his mermen lovers, Kyle and Finn. If they are going to continue to live as a ménage, they will have to learn to be honest with each other.

With Jake’s powers out of control and their relationship on shaky ground, the last thing any of them need is a crisis in the sunken city.

The Atlantean gods want to regain the powers they lost when the Atlantean people were banished from the city, but the solution will leave the mer who live in the city no choice but to evacuate and search for a new home or risk exposing the existence of the mer to the whole world.

Kyle and Finn return to Atlantis to help with the evacuation and insure the safety of their families, but time is not on their side. When Atlantis rises, the consequences could tear apart their ménage forever.

Excerpt

Kyle’s hand on his thigh took him by surprise. His mermen lovers were very sexual beings, but they tended to avoid public displays of affection, particularly in front of Finn’s parents. Jake stilled as Kyle moved his hand higher on his leg, dangerously close to Jake’s groin.

At his other side, Finn moved his chair closer and leaned on Jake’s shoulder. To the others at the table, it might appear as though Finn were reading the menu. Jake could tell he was doing nothing of the sort. A few more inches and Finn would be crawling onto his lap.

Then, even more disturbing than having his two lovers getting veryup close and personal in public, Jake felt a foot rubbing his ankle.

The angle was wrong for it to be either of his lovers, which meant it must be someone else at the table. Directly opposite Jake, Alex smiled at him and winked.

Jake jerked his foot, delivering a sharp kick to Alex’s leg.

“Fuck!” Alex swore and reached under the table to rub his ankle.

“Alex!” Malcolm snapped.

“Jake kicked me,” Alex muttered.

“It was an accident,” Jake replied easily.

Alex glared at him for a moment before his face transformed and he offered the table a bright smile. “I’m sure it must have been. Jake would never want to hurt me, would you, babe?”

Babe? What the hell had gotten into Alex tonight?

Finn growled beside him and shot his brother a venomous look. “Did you call my boyfriend babe?”

“A slip of the tongue,” Alex said.

“Alex, are you drunk?” Summer asked.

“I’ve not touched a drop.” Alex smiled at his new wife.

“Then stop winding up Jake and your brother.”

“What about me?” Kyle asked. “You think it isn’t annoying mewhen your husband calls my boyfriend babe?”

“Sorry, Kyle,” Summer offered. “You didn’t seem as angry about it as Finn.”

“Well, I am,” Kyle snapped. “Jake’s my boyfriend, too, even if you all seem to forget it half the fucking time.”

No one bothered to scold Kyle about his language.

“Okay, let’s calm down everyone,” Malcolm said. “We’re disturbing the other patrons, so let’s order our food and try to enjoy the evening.”

Jake nodded and searched for the waiter. Tim hovered right behind him, pad and pen in hand.

“What would you like to eat?”

Since Tim seemed to expect it, Jake chose what he wanted first. Finally, everyone had placed their orders and Tim, somewhat reluctantly, went to put them in.

“Would you like anything else, darling?” Finn mumbled under his breath.

Jake wrapped his arm around Finn’s shoulder and gave him a quick hug. “There’s no need for jealousy, so stop worrying.”

Finn kissed him in response and Jake had to restrain himself from deepening the connection. He reminded himself they were in public and not everyone was comfortable with seeing two men kissing each other.

“I guess I’m not going to be getting a kiss while we’re here.”

Jake knew, without looking, that Kyle had not spoken the words he had heard.

“Finn’s the public boyfriend and I’m…the other one, I guess.”

Jake frowned as Kyle’s words sank in. Was that how Kyle saw himself? He thought back on the times he had been out in public with Kyle and Finn and he accepted that Kyle might have a point.

He wasn’t sure how or when it had happened, but somewhere along the way, Finn had become the more traditional boyfriend. When the three of them were out together, Finn’s hand was the one he held as they walked down the street. When he introduced his lovers to someone, he referred to Finn as his boyfriend but occasionally had stumbled a little with what to call Kyle. People simply didn’t expect there to be more than two people in a relationship.

Jake realized he had been so busy trying to reassure Finn that he wanted him and that he wasn’t simply a substitute for Alex, he had been neglecting Kyle.

 Excerpt

When Logan stepped out of the cubicle, the cat-man was waiting for him with a clean kilt, similar to the ones worn by them. Logan had never worn such a garment in his life, but it was clear this was the only alternative clothing available if he wanted his flight suit cleaned.
His decision made, his covered himself quickly, though not quickly enough to avoid the frank appraisal of his feline host, whose green eyes lingered just a little too long on his groin.
Logan had taken his share of lovers before leaving Earth, but he couldn't recall ever being looked at quite like that. The feline licked his lips and made no effort to hide his stares.
During his time on the ship, Logan had watched the two lovers touch and kiss almost constantly whenever they were together in a room. He had seen the feline drop to his knees and suck the cock of the bird-man at least once a day. Late at night, when they had disappeared down the hatch, the sounds of their sexual activities echoed throughout the ship. Even if they hadn't given him a show right there on the flight deck, Logan would have to have been blind and deaf not to have figured out their relationship was far more than that of shipmates.
Since he had been seeing far more than was decent, Logan had also noticed that their feline and bird-like features were combined with those of men. Fur and feathers may have replaced hair, their eyes may be those of birds and cats, but there was enough about the two of them to make it clear they were very much men, not so different from himself.
They were actually quite pleasant to look upon. The feline was adorably cute, with a mischievous grin that never failed to bring a smile to Logan's lips. As for the bird, Logan not only admired his elegant beauty, he was in awe of his incredible strength.
Logan shivered at the want he saw in the eyes of the cat-man. He might not understand a word he said or even know his name, but the blatant sexual need in his gaze needed no translation.
The squawk of the bird-man alerted them to his presence. Logan jumped, feeling guilty, despite having done nothing to encourage the cat to stray.
The feline grinned and licked his lips again. He meowed and gestured to Logan's dirty clothing. Logan hoped he was going to get them cleaned, not have them thrown away.
Logan stepped aside so the cat-man could pass him, only for him to run his clawed finger lightly along his chest, sending another wave of shivers down his spine.
As the cat-man passed his lover, the bird-man tapped his arse playfully, causing the feline to swipe at him with his tail. Logan could tell they were merely playing and relaxed a little. As long as the bird-man didn't think he was trying to steal away his lover, things should be okay.
The feline vanished from sight and Logan stepped towards the door. That was when he realised the cat-man wasn't the only one who apparently admired his human body. The bird-man halted his progress with a hand on his chest, which turned into a soft caress, running over his abdomen and down to the front of his kilt.
Logan couldn't have stopped his body reacting if his life had depended on it.

Hayden Knight’s job is simple. All he has to do is sell his father’s latest invention to Tate South, the Acquisitions Manager of the biggest supplier of the best in cutting-edge technology. The virtual assistant is designed to help the user in all aspects of their life, but Hayden views the holographic helper as nothing but a nuisance. Keeping his annoyance to himself is relatively easy until a major technical glitch causes Tate to see and hear Hayden’s assistant.

Hayden and Tate are thrown together while they try to figure out what has happened, and the chemistry between them is electric. Hayden soon finds that convincing Tate that he needs a Holo-Assistant isn’t as important to him as persuading him he needs Hayden in his life.

The attraction is mutual and the sparks fly. If only they could get rid of their holographic third wheel.

Private Information – What's That?

How many of you have seen an advertisement on social media today that has been tailored just for you?

Everyone who has been on Facebook, I'll bet.

I have lost count of the number of times I have seen Kit Harrington, Sam Heughan, or Jensen Ackles on my feed wearing a t-shirt that says never underestimate a woman born in August who loves Game of Thrones/Outlander/Supernatural, depending on who the actor is in the picture.

That tells me that someone somewhere is farming information about me including my gender, my date of birth and my TV viewing habits.  I do watch more shows than those three, but they are the ones I tend to end up chatting about online.

My birthday is set to private, though apparently it is somewhere out there for the ads to pick it up.

No doubt you have seen similar adverts.

If you are on the internet, you can't go anywhere without information about you being gathered along the way.  If you do your Christmas shopping online you'll no doubt be bombarded by ads for things you would never purchase for yourself.  I get some of the weirdest novelty items on my feed throughout January – yes, I am a last minute shopper and haven't even started it yet – until eventually they disappear and the usual stuff (books!) reappear.

Our online wanderings are traced and our information is harvested without us being able to do a great deal about it.

In my new book, Holographic Havoc, the gathering of personal information is still happening in the early 22nd century and is as much a part of the lives of people there as it is our lives today.

Even though the story is a romantic comedy, there are some underlying truths within it, and one of those is just how scary it is that how our personal and private information is all online for the taking, if someone has the key.

Still, we wouldn't want to be without the internet, would we?   LOL-cats after all are a writer's biggest distraction.

Excerpt

Hayden finally gave up on sleep at half past six, got out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom.

His assistant followed him. Unfortunately, there was no way for Hayden to turn off the assistant for a little privacy. The first time it had hovered beside him while he took a piss he had tried to shut it down. That was the moment he discovered the assistant was a permanent fixture in his life. The only way to remove it would be to undergo surgery to remove the neural implant, something his father wouldn't allow until he had thoroughly tested it.

The Holo-Assistant, a highly advanced piece of technology was the brainchild of his father and Hayden was one of the guinea-pigs testing it for him. A program designed to manage all aspects of a person's life, from scheduling appointments at work to ensuring a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. It was every app a person could ever want, all rolled into one holographic assistant. If Hayden had known what he was letting himself in for, he would have thought twice about it. Not that his father had given him much choice. As head of the marketing department for Knight Inventions, it was Hayden's job to sell the product and his father believed that the only way for Hayden to truly believe his sales pitch was for him to have experienced the wonders of the invention for himself.

Hayden tried to ignore the holographic nuisance as he stepped into the shower and closed his eyes.

A loud groan coming from outside the cubicle caused Hayden to jump and bang his elbow on the tiles. "What the hell?"

He rubbed his eyes and eased open the shower door. Hovering in front of him was a holo-screen playing porn. The actors were giving it their all, moaning and groaning loud enough to wake the dead. His assistant stood beside the screen with a stupid smile on its face.

"Shut down film," Hayden snapped. There was a time and a place for porn and this unholy hour of the morning wasn't it.

"Would you like an alternative?" the assistant asked, bringing up a long list of titles and stills from what appeared to be every porn film Hayden had ever watched and more besides.

"No, I bloody don't," Hayden replied.

"I believe you'll find it will assist you in maintaining your schedule."

"Excuse me? What schedule are you talking about now?" "

As part of maintaining your well-being I have allotted you time to masturbate."

Hayden goggled at the assistant. "What did you say?"

"I have allocated you time to masturbate," it obligingly confirmed. "With the assistance of a film of your liking it is estimated that you will require two minutes for this task."

"Oh for crying out loud." Hayden slammed the door, shaking the glass, and shut out the frustrating hologram. He wasn't sure what annoyed him the most, the fact that the wretched program had allocated him time to wank, or that it had only allowed him two minutes for the job.
