Three may keep a secret,
if two of them are dead.Benjamin Franklin, Poor Richard's Almanack
A house so haunted, even cops and children won't go near it.
Two deaths so cold and a file so thin, Detective Lieutenant Hunter Dane wondered if anyone had bothered to investigate.
Now all he had to do was figure out how a husband and wife were murdered with the same gun, a decade apart, inside a house with every door and window bolted from the inside.
And he had to do it without Camden Snow.
ADDI: I like him with Cam. But as we learned at the end of Psychic Men, Cam wanted to move on.
HUNTER: Not from me, though. Let's make that really clear.
TWSR: So he will be in the book?
HUNTER: If Cam wasn't in this book, I wouldn't be either.
ADDI: In fact, Cam has the first line in the book. He asks Hunter a question.
TWSR: Care to share?
Hunter groans and covers his face.
ADDI: Sure. It's
“Did you actually just say ‘we have to talk’?” Camden Snow paused his attack on the huge white pad fixed to his easel, the charcoal stick a nub in his blackened fingers.ADDI: There. You have an excerpt.
HUNTER: That's out-of-context!
TWSR: I promise we won't read anything into it. Addi, this looks like a locked-room mystery with a ghost story. Are you planning a Halloween release?
ADDI: I wish so much I could. But to do it and these guys justice, it's probably going to be Thanksgiving.
TWSR: Fair enough. Hunter, before we go, how about a giving us a hint what the secret is?
HUNTER: [smiles enigmatically] Which one?
